My Big Day Preparations
As a soon to be bride it can be overwhelming trying to choose special skin treatments, given the array of products available. My wedding is a year away so starting to prep my skin into the best shape it’s ever been is on my list of things to do along with all the event planning. I have started with a deep peel by Dermaceutic to lift pigment, brighten my complexion, smooth out superficial dehydration, and stimulate cell turnover. Chemical peels are amazing treatments to increase the benefits of product penetration and should be done at least once every 3-4 months before the big day.
I have also invested in a corrective product line “Clenziderm” to get to the root of breakouts and congestion to clear up any asphyxiation. Clenziderm (by Obagi Medical Products) is available in two distinctive systems depending on your skin type, normal/oily and normal/dry.
In order to keep my skin looking fabulous up to the wedding day, I’ve taken a jump start to preventing any fine or deep lines from appearing in my Glabella (area between the eyebrows) with a little BotoxTM. Let’s face it, planning a wedding is fun but stress is sometimes a factor so a little help can go a long way!
I plan on starting LATISSE 6 months before the wedding to get longer, fuller, darker lashes. No stick on false lashes for me (they never last all day and all night!) LATISSE is a prescription product that stimulates your natural eyelash growth. Visible results in as early as 8 weeks, with full dramatic effects in 12-16 weeks.
Whatever personal skin care goals you may have, as a future bride and a Medical Aesthetician, I highly recommend putting yourself on the appointment list in your own wedding planner; because let’s be honest, no one will remember your centrepieces, they are going to remember you!!!
Congratulations and Good Luck,
