Visia – Complexion Analysis

Developed by Procter & Gamble and Canfield Imaging Systems, the VISIA Complexion Analysis System captures multi-spectral photos of the face, examining the complexion for wrinkles, spots, pores, texture (color variation in the skin tone), porphyrins (evidence of bacteria in pores),and UV spots (characteristic of photodamage, typically from overexposure to sun). Additionally, the VISIA system can grade an individual’s skin features relative to others of the same age and skin type.

“The VISIA system measures skin features that previously could only be evaluated subjectively providing the capability to provide facial rejuvenation and skin care matched to each person’s unique complexion profile.” according to Jim Larkey, VISIA product manager for Canfield Imaging Systems.
