Esthélis – How it can give You a more Youthful Appearance
Injectable fillers are one of the strongest growing trends in our specialty. Hyaluronic acid fillers have wowed our patients by providing immediate rejuvenated results with very little risk of adverse reactions. The instant gratification and naturalness of treatment outcome have patients more openly talking about their treatments and telling family and friends. Who would not be happy about softer wrinkles, lifted jawlines, defined lips, fuller cheeks, less hollowed tear troughs and a more youthful appearance?
What we have seen and heard over the past fourteen months since our Centre launched Esthélis, the newest filler on the Canadian market, is that our patients have never been happier. And they are talking about it! Esthélis is a fourth generation monophasic polydensified resorbable gel made from hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin with CPM (cohesive polydensified matrix) technology developed and patented by the Swiss company Antheis.
Anteis was founded in 2003, and has quickly become a leading innovator with next generation injectable products in the fields of aesthetic dermatology, opthalmology and osteoarthitis. In six short years, Anteis has received numerous industry recognitions with the most prestigious being in 2008 for recognition of innovation, lead on the market, technological advances, creativity and quality of services (Swiss Economic Award). Anteis provides quarterly training sessions called the Inject Now Academy that circulate globally and bring together practitioners from around the world to learn the newest techniques with their injectable product line which includes Esthélis Soft, Esthélis Basic, Fortélis Extra, Mesolis and Mesolis+. Anteis’ approach of combining technique with technology brings practitioners new insights on new injection techniques, new indications, new products and combination therapies. All this is done while keeping the patient’s safest and best treatment outcome in mind.
In Canada, MD Medical is the company responsible for import and distribution of the Esthélis line to the medical aesthetic market. Manon Duval, Owner and President of MD Medical, has been working with various injectable fillers for almost 20 years in Montreal. With her experience and vast knowledge of the medical aesthetic industry, Ms. Duval had the insight to see the need for newer injectable products to be available to Canadian practitioners. In 2001, she launched MD Medical in order to import the highest quality injectable products available in Europe and world-wide. In 2008, MD Medical won the sole Canadian rights to the Esthélis brand and she, along with her team, have been successfully educating and training practitioners on this new, remarkable product line. In July 2009, Ms. Duval celebrated the success of having the Anteis mesotherapy line of Mesolis and Mesolis+ approved by the Health Protection Branch (HPB) of Health Canada. MD Medical will be holding their official launch of this innovative product for skin hydration in the coming months.
As mentioned earlier, the Esthélis brand has three injectable products named Esthélis Soft, Esthélis Basic, and Fortélis Extra. All are clear gels with varying levels of cohesiveness that are tailored for the tissue they treat. Esthélis Soft is designed to be injected superficially into very fragile skin such as neck and chest wrinkles, crow’s feet, acne scars and fine lines. This alone is remarkable because prior to this product line being available in Canada, most of these areas for treatment were disregarded due to the risk of side effects. Esthélis Basic, known as the “smart” product, has the versatility to be injected in all areas of the skin. Not only can it add a natural volume to the upper cheek and lip, it can also be used to treat deep lines as well as superficial wrinkles. Fortélis Extra is a resorbable injectable implant with a volume enhancing power to treat facial folds and depressions, fill areas of facial volume loss, augment lips and remodel facial contours. For patients looking for a rejuvenated jaw line, Fortélis Extra can help define and blend out jowls giving patients a “lift” without surgery.
So why Esthélis? Although the other available injectable products are good, this product is great. The Esthélis line offers patients more from their injectable treatments with less potential side effects. Because of the science behind its development, this product doesn’t just sit in the skin; it integrates and becomes part of the tissue matrix for the most natural result. Less swelling is noted during treatment and treatment results can last up to a year depending on the area injected. Patients who have had other injectable fillers in the past report less, if any, discomfort post-treatment and are happier with the effects they see with Esthélis. Esthélis’ versatility and predictability has allowed our Centre to expand the areas we now inject, providing our patients newer areas to rejuvenate safely and naturally.

I have been treated with Esthélis by Yolanta Van Arden in Toronto and she has recommended me to Sheila Mackay here in Ottawa – I am very interested in meeting with Ms McKay for a consultation and ideally for a cheek injection as well as a possible lip area augmentation –
I look forward to hearing from Ms. Mackay at her earliest convenience,
Thanks very much,

This weblog seems to recieve a great deal of visitors. How do you advertise it? It gives a nice individual spin on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to talk about is the most important thing.

I was reading something else about this on another blog. Interesting. Your position on it is diametrically opposed to what I read earlier. I am still mulling over the diverse points of view, but I’m leaning to a great extent toward yours. And irrespective, that’s what is so good about modern democracy and the marketplace of thoughts online.

I feel like you could probably teach a class on how to make a great blog. This is fantastic! I have to say, what really got me was your design. You certainly know how to make your blog more than just a rant about an issue. Youve made it possible for people to connect. Good for you, because not that many people know what theyre doing.
